The first fixture of the 2013 Spring Tour sees the Qantas Wallabies take on the old enemy England at the home of rugby – Twickenham.
This is the ultimate match for any Australian fan and there is nothing sweeter than beating England on their home turf. In 2012, Australian rugby were on a rollercoaster ride as the Qantas Wallabies resurrected their spring tour campaign with a courageous 6 point win at Twickenham ending with a 20-14 victory over England.
Three second-half penalty goals by fullback Berrick Barnes gave the Wallabies a six-point buffer against a late attacking surge from England, while a try from winger Nick Cummins allowed the Wallabies to keep pace with the home side who came out fighting in the first half.
Barnes scored the only points of the second half, as well as a drop goal and penalty in the first, to give the Wallabies a reputation-saving win in the second Test of their 2012 European tour.
